Jaesung Kim is a Korean tenor born in Changwon in 1989. He has received education in South Korea and Germany and attended masterclasses from German artists Christiane Iven, Kirsten Schötteldreier and Burkhard Fritz. Jaesung won the GaecheonArt Competition in Seoul in 2014, took 3rd place in the Korea National Opera Concours in 2014, as well as the Czech International Vocal Competition of Gabriela Benackova in 2021. He was also a finalist at the Immling Festival Gesangswettbewerb in Germany in 2020 and at the Spanish Alfredo Kraus competition in 2021. He has performed the roles of Rodolfo (La Boheme), Duca di Mantova (Rigoletto), 2 Priester, 1 Geharnischte (Die Zauberflöte), Gong Hai-li (Heart Sutra), Don Jose (Carmen), Oronte (Alcina) Tybalt (Romeo et Juliette) 2.Nazarener (Salome), Heinrich (Tannhäuser), St. Brioche (Die Lustige Witwe), Malcolm (Macbeth) and Nemorino (L'elisir d'amore).
