Xu Chen, Tenor, was born in China on December 1, 1990. He graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of music with bachelor and a master's degree, and his soloist degree came from the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music. He was the signed singer for the German Wamberlin artist company. He has been guided by many famous artists like Roger Vignoles, Mikael Eliasen, Malcolm Martineau, Neville Dove, Christopher Purves,Slvatore Fisichella, Francisco Araiza, Jose Cura and received favourable comments. In October, 2015, he was classified as the major music image spokesperson by the Shanghai Organizing Committee for “Excellence in both performing skills and moral integrity” in the China Art Exhibition. In December 2016, he co-starred the “Le Nozze di Figaro” with Shanghai Symphony Orchestra in the Shanghai Oriental Art Center. In Italy he sang in “Der Rosenkavalier”. In June 2019, he performed as Tamino in “Die Zauberflöte ” at the Delphi Theatre in Berlin, and debuted in “Rigoletto”at the Teatro Comunale di Bolzano in November 2019. He has won lots of vocal competition prizes with the most significant one being the Gold Award of his regional area which also referred to him as the nominee for 10th China Golden Bell Award. He received the Finalist Award of the 51st Toulouse International Vocal Competition and the First prize of Vocal Group of the 2017 Vienna International Music Competition, First Prize of 2018 Vienna New Year Concert Competition, First Prize of 2021 International Music Competition, and the Grand Prize Virtuoso in Rome. Chen has performed in many cities across many countries, and also hosted numerous Solo Concerts. He works as a soloist in the Jiangsu Grand Theater, Shanghai Concert Hall, Oriental Art Center, Tokyo Suntory Concert Hall, Xinghai Concert Hall, Kunshan Baoli Theatr, Tivoli concert hall, Betty Nansen Theatre. He has performed at the Copenhagen Opera Festival, Shanghai Spring International Music Festival, Malta Teatru Astra, and Vienna Golden Hall, and has joined the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, Berlin City Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Youth Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Opera house Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, Jiangsu Symphony Orchestra, etc.
