Canadian soprano Julia Dawson is a winner of the George London Award and the Anny-Schlemm Preis. In 2015-2019 she was a member of the Opernstudio and the solo ensemble at Oper Frankfurt where her roles included Angelina (La cenerentola) and Goffredo (Rinaldo). Recent performances include Zibaldona (Cinderella) and Stravinsky’s “Pulcinella” with the Munich Philharmonic and the French Radio Symphony under the baton of Barbara Hannigan. Future projects include singing and performing in the musical film “Obscura Nox” of Mozart’s “Exultate", jubilate and new music from Iranian-Canadian composer Iman Habibi, now streaming online with Opera Philadelphia.
