Monika Kučinska is a Lithuanian soprano, who graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2020. In 2019, Monika made her debut as Masha in P.I. Tchaikovsky‘s opera The Queen of Spades (Vilnius City Opera) in Vilnius Congress Concert Hall. A year latter she took the role of Governess in the same production. Monika has worked with condutors such as Josef Wallning, Modestas Pitrėnas and Gintaras Rinkevičius, performed with the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the Cappella Temporale Chamber Orchestra and Lithuanian State Wind Instrument Orchestra Trimitas. In 2018 Monika made her debut as Frasquita in electronic opera e-Carmen by Vilnius City Opera directed by Dalia Ibelhauptaitė in collaboration with Ten Walls. In 2015 she made her acting debut as the first soprano Sophie De Palma in Master Class (Maria Callas) in the State Small Theatre of Vilnius. Since 2015 she is a member of Vilnius City Opera ensemble, she sung in productions of G. Puccini’s Tosca, Ch. Gounod’s Faust, G. Verdi’s Il Trovatore and W.A. Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte. She won the XIX Vincės Jonušaites-Zaunienės competition in Lithuania and IV International Music Competition With music through Europe Lithuania – Italy (Grand Prix). In 2019 Monika received the Presidential Award for the winning highest awards in international music competitions.
